Côte Bleue

The Côte Bleue (German: Blue Coast ) is a section of the French Mediterranean coast. It is located west of Marseille and extends to the mouth of the marsh into the Mediterranean.

From the East ( Marseille) from them includes the municipalities of Le Rove, Ensuès la Redonne, Carry-le- Rouet, Sausset -les-Pins and Martigues. At the western end of the coast section merges into the Gulf of Fos. The name derives from the deep blue waters of the Mediterranean at this point. Right on the coast starts the hills Chaîne de l' Estaque. Between the Marseilles district of L' Estaque and Carry-le- Rouet, there is no coastal road, only one resulting in the early 20th century railroad.
