Couesnophone

The Couesnophon, also called Goofus is a saxophone -like musical instrument. It was invented in 1924 ( patented by Couesnon & Cie. In France), and in the 1920s it experienced a short bloom. In particular, the jazz musician Adrian Rollini ( June 28, 1903 - May 15, 1956) played it.

The Couesnophon united the mouthpiece of a wind instrument ( with breakdown tongue ) and the mechanics of a key harmonica (also in tone similar to the later Melodica by Hohner ). It has two rows of keys, all the tones in front ( right-hand) and half tones rear ( left hand).
