County of Besalú
The county Besalu, Catalan Comtat de Besalu, named after the capital Besalu, was originally a pagus of the county of Girona. In the late 9th century Wilfried separated from the Hairy, Besalu the rest of his possessions and made his brother Radulf to the Count.
