Courtallam (Tamil: குற்றாலம் Kuṟṟālam [ kut ː ra ː lʌm ], also Kutralam, Kuttalam ) is a city in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu with about 3,000 inhabitants ( 2011 census ).

Courtallam is located at the foot of the Western Ghats in Tirunelveli district in southern Tamil Nadu. The nearest major town Tenkasi is five kilometers north-east. The district capital is located 57 kilometers south-east of Tirunelveli, Chennai (Madras ), the capital of Tamil Nadu, there are 620 km. The nearest train station is in Tenkasi.

Courtallam is famous for its waterfalls. Total found in and around Courtallam nine waterfalls. The largest of them is the 60 -meter-high Peraruvi ( "Big Waterfall "). Thanks to its waterfalls is Courtallam, which is concerned with the nickname " Spa of the South ', a major destination for domestic tourists.
