Couture-sur-Loir

Couture -sur -Loir is a French municipality with 410 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Loir -et -Cher in the Centre region. The place is mainly on the left bank of the Loir.

The site of Couture reveals in the past from time to time existing prosperity. The located just outside the castle La Possonnière is the beginning of the 16th century by Louis de Ronsard one of the first in France has been rebuilt in the Renaissance style. Here the poet Pierre de Ronsard was born 1524, and here he spent his childhood.
