The Loir in Vendôme
The Loir (not to be confused with the Loire ) is a river in western France, which runs into the Centre and Pays de la Loire. It rises in the landscape Perche, in the municipality of Champrond -en- Gâtine, drained in the upper course to the east and southeast, but then turns in the general direction southwest and flows after 317 kilometers in Briollay, north of Angers, as a left tributary of the Sarthe.
Along its shores lie the vineyards Coteaux du Loir, Jasnières and Coteaux du Vendômois.
