Criccieth ( Welsh Cricieth ) is a town on the Cardigan Bay in North Wales, United Kingdom. The city is today a tourist center, attracting especially the elderly. Other attractions include the ruins of Criccieth Criccieth Castle from the year 1230 and an old chapel, which is now used as an art gallery.

In the Middle Ages Criccieth was the capital of the Cantrefs Eifionydd, as well Dolbenmaen.
