Reviews

  • Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun - Times on 28 April 1989, the filmmakers would often use the means of the false alarm. It was working in a movie more than twice, in this it would be six - seven times used; particularly common in the last half hour. These "tricks" would negate the good representations by Gary Oldman and Kevin Bacon. Bacon game " very effective " because it constituted an " engaging young man " with deep hidden psychological illness.
  • Hal Hinson wrote in the Washington Post of 28 April 1989, the core of the film is the relationship of the main characters, who would try to manipulate each other. The representations were " clever ," she would hint at a " deeper psychological dimension." The director -generating voltage in an efficient manner. The plot is, however, " less and less credible ."
