Cristian's algorithm

The algorithm of Cristian ( Cristian after Flaviu ) is an algorithm for synchronization of physical clocks in distributed systems. He needs a time server with which computers can synchronize, which require the current time. The Round Trip Time (RTT ) of the request must be shorter than twice the desired accuracy. The algorithm was published in 1989 by Flaviu Cristian.

Expiration

The algorithm of Cristian runs between the process and a time server, a source for UTC, from.

The round trip time is calculated by doing. When the time period ( execution time ) is known, the calculation can be improved.
