Cristian Maidana

Cristian Omar Maidana ( born January 24, 1987 in Resistencia ) is an Argentine football player.

Club career

Cristian Maidana played in 2006 and 2007 in the Argentine first division side Club Atlético Banfield. Despite his young age, he quickly developed into a regular player and played in the two years a total of 41 league games. In January 2008, he was sold for the equivalent of about 3.5 million U.S. dollars to the Russian tradition Spartak Moscow. There he came in the 2008 season to season 24 games under coach Stanislav Tschertschessow. In January 2009 he was loaned to Spanish side Recreativo Huelva. The oldest football club in Spain also secured an option to purchase more than 6 million euros, but did not draw this.

National

For the A - team of Argentina Maidana did not previously used. His last position at the international level was the U-20 team in his home country.
