Cristian Riveros

Cristian Miguel Riveros Núñez ( born October 16, 1982 in Juan Augusto Saldivar ) is a Paraguayan football player.

Career

Club career

Riveros played in the Paraguayan leagues upwards. About his club Colón de JA Saldivar and the Club Sportivo San Lorenzo he came to the first division Tacuary FC from the capital Asunción. As of mid- 2007, the defensive midfielder played for Mexican club Cruz Azul top. In May 2010, then gave the commitment Riveros known 'of the English club Sunderland AFC. For the season 2011/12 he moved to Turkey for Süper Lig club Kayserispor. When the Turks he came in the course of his club affiliation to 67 assignments in the league, in which he scored three goals. Also, four cup games (one goal ) are performed with his participation. In June 2013 Gremio announced its commitment for the next two seasons.

National team career

In May 2005 he had his first appearance in the Paraguayan national team. During the qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany he played himself definitively to the team and was in the crucial final games in which participation was managed to the trunk. Then in the World Cup squad Paraguay he came to Germany in two of the three games of Paraguay used. Also at the 2010 World Cup, he was again in the Paraguayan squad.
