Cristina Casandra

Cristina Casandra, née lloc ( born 1 February 1977 in Zalau, Salaj county ), is a Romanian track and field athlete who specializes in the steeplechase.

Career

The thirteen- year-old Cristina lloc began with the Athletics in their home town Zalău. From 1990 to 1995 she trained with C.S.Ş. Zalău and then until the fall of 1998 under Teodor Bidean CSM ARMATURA Zalău. Since the autumn of 1998, she starts for the CSM Suceava 2004 and 2005 and was briefly in addition to CSA Steaua Bucharest active.

Her first international success was winning the bronze medal in the 5,000 - meter race at the IAAF World Junior Championships in 1996 in Beijing. Also the third place over this distance she won in 1999 at the Universiade in Palma de Mallorca. In the Universiade 2000 in Vilamoura, she was third in the cross country.

Then she focused on the obstacle course. At the World Athletics Championships 2007 in Osaka she finished sixth and in the same year at the IAAF World Athletics Final in Stuttgart third parties.
