Critics' Choice Movie Award

The Critics' Choice Movie Awards ( formerly known as the Broadcast Film Critics Association Award) are in the U.S. annually by the Broadcast Film Critics Association award Film Award. It honors the best films of the past year from the perspective of film critics. After a one-week nomination period and subsequent announcement of the nominations in December, the ceremony will basically take place in January.

Formerly known as the Broadcast Film Critics Association Awards announced, they have since been renamed Critics' Choice Awards. Since 2010, the ceremony is called Critics ' Choice Movie Awards, to stand out from the since 2011 awarded by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association Critics' Choice Television Awards delineate. Since then, under the Critics' Choice Awards ceremonies are known both taken together.

First held from 2005 to 2008 at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, moved the ceremony from 2009 to 2011 in the historically renovated Hollywood Palladium Theatre. Since 2011 the ceremony at Barker Hangar takes place at the Santa Monica Airport in Santa Monica, California. First broadcast on cable channel VH1, the live broadcast goes on U.S. television with the award of 2014 channel The CW.
