Croatian dinar

The Croatian dinar from 1991 to 1994, the monetary unit of Croatia. There were bills in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 25, 100, 500, 1000 (both dated 8 October 1991), 2,000, 5,000, 10,000 (both dated 15 January 1992), 50,000, and 100,000 Dinar ( each dated May 30, 1993) in circulation. All of these marks on the obverse a portrait of the astronomer Ruđer Josip Bošković. On the back were the bills to 1,000 dinars the picture of the Zagreb Cathedral, and the larger bills the picture of the memorial to Croatian history. The Croatian dinar was replaced in 1994 by the Croatian Kuna.
