Crumbsuckers

Crumbsuckers was an American crossover band from Long Iceland, New York, which was founded in 1982 and in 1989 separated again.

History

The band was formed in 1982 by bassist Gary Meskil. The group was initially a party band, playing the covers of Minor Threat, Bad Brains and Kraut. The post of the singer changed thereby usually from gig to gig. In June 1983, she took on the demo The Crumb Sucker Cave that also has a cover of Chubby Checkers " The Twist " was included.

In the years 1983 and 1984 the band wrote their debut album. Another demo was recorded in 1984. Singer David Brady left the band at that time and was replaced by Chris Notaro. A short time later, she reached through the demo a contract with Combat Records. In 1984, Chuck Lenihan second guitarist. The songs of the debut album Life of Dreams, published in 1986, were written by Gary Meskil and guitarist David Wynn.

In the spring of 1987 guitarist David Wynn left the band and was replaced by Matt Cardin. However, this did not last long. He wrote two songs for the second album and was replaced by Robert Koebler. After the separation

After the dissolution of the band Gary Meskil, Marc Piovanetti, Chuck Lenihan and Dan Richardson founded together with singer Craig Allen in 1990, the band Heavy Rain. In the same year the band broke up again, so Gary Meskil and Dan Richardson, the band Pro-Pain in 1991 founded.
