CS Târgu Mureș

CS Târgu Mureş was a Romanian sports club from Târgu Mureş, Mureş county. He played ten seasons in the highest Romanian football league, the Divizia A. The Hockey section of the club was twice Romanian Champion

History

CS Târgu Mureş was of Romanian railway workers under the name ASM Targu Mures (on German Workers Sports Association ) founded in 1944 with the aim to let you play the best players in the city in a joint team, after most of the other clubs in the turmoil of the Second world War II had dissolved. After the war, the club changed its name to Dermagant Targu Mures and in 1946 he managed to qualify for the Divizia A, as the leagues operation was resumed.

After the name was changed in 1948 again - the club was called now RATA Târgu Mureş by the company to which he belonged - succeeded in the season 1948/49, under coach Iuliu Baratky with a fourth place in the biggest success in club history. Subsequently, the club changed its name again - this time in Locomotiva Targu Mures. After two seasons in a relegation battle Locomotiva able to conclude with the fourth place, the 1952 season under coach Ştefan Dobay again.

After the descent into the 1954 season could be only narrowly avoided, Locomotiva rose in 1955 for the first time from the Divizia B. Under the new name Targu Mures Energia already succeeded a year later to rise again, but in the following season was once again the descent. The club changed its name to the summer of 1958 in CS Târgu Mureş. After descending from the Divizia B in 1960, CS graduated with local rivals vointa together for new CS Mureşul.
