Cucerdea
Cucerdea (deprecated Cucerdea română; Hungarian Oláhkocsárd or Kocsárd ) is a municipality in Mureş county in Transylvania, Romania.
The place is also known by its Hungarian name Románkocsárd.
Geographical location
The community Cucerdea located approximately in the center of the Transylvanian Basin. At the same Bach - a left tributary of the Sărata - and the National Road ( Drum National) DN 14A, the place is about six kilometers south of the small town Iernut ( Radnuten ); the district capital Târgu Mureş ( Tirgu Mures ) is located about 35 kilometers northeast of Cucerdea away.
History
The place Cucerdea was first mentioned in documents in 1278.
