The parliamentary elections in the Czech Republic in 2002 was held on 14 and 15 June 2002. In selecting the members of the House of Representatives were re-determined.
Electoral system
The House of Representatives was elected by proportional representation method. There was a minimum threshold of 5 %. The legislature was 4 years.

Election result

- Civic Democratic Party
Winner of the election was the Czech Social Democratic Party ( CSSD ) with slight loss of votes. The Civic Democratic Party ( ODS) could continue to assert itself as the second-strongest, but also suffered slight losses. The biggest increase in votes with 7.48 % was the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia ( KSČM ) and was recorded with a total of 18.51 % still the third strongest party in the House. The Christian Democratic People's Party ( KDU- CSL ) entered the election in a coalition with the Free Democratic Union ( US-DEU ) and got 14.27 % of votes cast. This left the coalition behind the result, which had been run in 1998 as a single applicant both parties.
