DÄ…browo

Dąbrowo ( German Heinrichswalde ) is a village in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and is part of the rural community of Grunwald ( Green field) in the powiat Ostródzki (Kreis Osterode ).

Geographical location

Dąbrowo located 23 kilometers south of the county town Ostróda ( Osterode ( East Prussia ) ), in the northwest of Jezioro Dąbrowa ( Semnitz Lake), is via a spur road from Marcinkowo ( Mertinsdorf ) in the province road 537 out of reach. A rail connection does not exist.

History

The small village was called up to the September 18, 1877 " Dombrowa " and basically consisted of a large yard. As the district of the rural community Frögenau the village Heinrichswalde called ( from 1905: Government District Olsztyn ) belonged until 1945 to the District Frögenau in Kreis Osterode in East Prussia in the district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia.

In 1945 Heinrichswalde was in consequence of war, associated with the southern East Prussia Poland and received the Polish name " Dąbrowo ". Today, the small village is a village within the network of rural community Grunwald ( Green field ) in the powiat Ostródzki the Warmia and Mazury and belonged 1975-1998 to Voivodeship Olsztyn ( Olsztyn ).

Church

Protestant

By 1945, the population was predominantly Protestant denomination Heinrich forest. The village was in the region of Tannenberg of the parish mill Tannenberg (today Polish: Mielno Stębark ) the parish, for the parish of Osterode ( Superintendenturbezirk Hohenstein ) within the Ecclesiastical Province of East Prussia was part of the Church of the Old Prussian Union. After the flight and expulsion of the indigenous population now live only a few Protestant church members in Dąbrowo. You now belong to a parish in the Diocese of Masuria Ostróda the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland.

Catholic

Since 1945 lives almost exclusively Catholic population in Dąbrowo. The previously Protestant parish church in Tannenberg is now central Catholic church. The parish is part of the Dean's Office in the Archdiocese of Warmia Grunwald of the Catholic Church in Poland.
