New Zealand Warzeneibe ( Dacrycarpus dacrydioides )

The warts yew ( Dacrycarpus, Syn. Podocarpus sect Dacrycarpus, Podocarpus sect Dacrydium. ) Are a genus with nine species in the family of Podocarpus plants ( Podocarpaceae ) within the conifers ( Coniferales ).

Description

Dacrycarpus species are shrubs or trees, which can reach heights of growth of up to 41 meters.

Most species are dioecious getrenntgeschlechtig ( dioecious ). The seeds are surrounded by a seed coat ( aril ).

Dissemination

The spread of warts yew is from New Zealand and the Fiji Islands over New Guinea, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines to the northern areas of Myanmar and Southern China. They have a center of biodiversity ( five species) in New Guinea.

  • Dacrycarpus vieillardii ( Parl ) de Laub.
