The Dadau is a left-side tributary of the River Hunte. It flows in the southern part of the county Diepholz ( Lower Saxony) and is in its upper reaches the boundary between the districts of Diepholz and Vechta.

Course

The 16.6 km long Dadau rises in the Diepholzer Moorniederung between Aschener and Lohner Moor. It flows north to the main road 69 and then largely in an easterly direction, first as a border river between Diepholz and Samtgemeinde Barnstorf, then by the municipality of Drebber and empties into Cornau, a district of Drebber, in the Hunte. This then flows in a northerly direction. Between the Hunte and the Dadau is Deckau, which also belongs to Drebber.
