Dahomeyan legislative election, 1959

The choice for the Legislative Assembly in Dahomey in 1959 took place in the former French colony of Dahomey, now the state of Benin on May 2, 1959.

Although the Dahomeische Democratic Union received the most votes, she won the fewest seats due to the complex suffrage. The Republican Party of Dahomey, which came to the vote in the second place, winning 37 of 70 seats in the Dahomey National Assembly.
