Dai Vernon

Dai Vernon (actually Winfield David Frederick Verner, born June 11, 1894 in Ottawa, † August 21, 1992 in Ramona, California ) was an American magician Canadian origin. He had the nickname Professor.

As an artist Dai Vernon cards began his career in the 1920s in New York. Well-known art pieces were changed by him and so improved that even professional colleagues such as Harry Houdini trick technique were not able to see through. The "The Magic Castle", the Academy of Magic Arts in Hollywood, was 30 years his artistic home. Many other magicians went here with him in teaching.
