Dairy Queen ( English for " Dairy Queen ", often abbreviated DQ) is an American fast food restaurant chain based in Edina, Minnesota. To the company, founded in 1940 include 5,900 restaurants in 22 countries. This Dairy Queen is one of the biggest fast food chains in the world and was acquired by Berkshire Hathaway in 1998. Many of the first Dairy Queen restaurants were opened in rural areas of the United States. In addition to the typical fast food products " DQ " offers a variety of products from ice cream. To Dairy Queen Group also still owns the brands Orange Julius and Karmelkorn.
