Damien McGrane

Damien McGrane ( born April 13, 1971 in Kells, County Meath, Ireland) is an Irish professional golfer on the European Tour.

It was in 1991, professional golfer, but operated mainly as a club professional at Wexford Golf Club and then again in his home town, at Headfort Golf Club, where he is now an honorary member.

Only after the turn of the millennium McGrane turned more to the players' game and played from 2001 on the Challenge Tour and invitation-only and Irish events on the European Tour. About the Tour School he made it for the first time, to qualify for the season 2003, the major European tournament series on a regular basis. Due to insufficient placements he had to again in 2004 for the eligibility fight and survived this season. In the 2005 season, then came the breakthrough and with four top 10 places to McGrane reached the remarkable 59th place in the European Tour Order of Merit. In 2006 he created by good results, the base to be able to continue to remain on the European Tour. In April 2008, McGrane scored the first success by winning the Volvo China Open.

Damien McGrane is married to his wife Geraldine since 1997 and has two children.
