Damien O'Donnell

Damien O'Donnell (born 1967 in Dublin) is an Irish film director and screenwriter.

His debut as director and screenwriter gave Damien O'Donnell in 1995 with the short film 35 Aside, in which he also worked as an editor. Four years later, with Chrono perambulator another short film in which Charles Dance played the lead role. In the same year O'Donnell staged with East is East his first feature film, for which he was awarded in 2000 at the British Academy Film Awards with the " Alexander Korda Award for Best British Film ." In addition, he won an Empire Award for Best Debut as well as the Evening Standard British Film Award for Best Film. His next project was another short film, which was published under the title What Where in 2000. 2002 Heartlands was with actor Michael Sheen in the lead role. Two years later, Inside I'm Dancing was produced, which was awarded at the Irish Film and Television Awards for Best Film from the audience.
