Damien Walters

Damien Walters ( born April 6, 1982 in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England) is a former British gymnast who had specialized in tumbling. Today he works as a stuntman and stunt coach and operates Freerunning.

Life

Successes as a trampoline gymnast

He participated in four Trampoline World Championships. In 2003 he won one of the four members of the British team the World Cup in the team competition. In the years 2001 and 2007, he reached the 4th place respectively with the team. In addition, he finished 5th in singles competition in 2003 and 2005. European Championship in the team he won in 2006 after he had already reached the second and eighth place in the individual competition two years earlier. After that he did not continue in tournaments, but focused on his other projects, mainly his career as a stuntman. In addition, he also appeared in a few commercials and performed in acrobatic shows. Damien Walters is 1,80 m tall and weighs 76 kg.

Success as a stuntman

In 2007, Walters received a phone call and a request from the stunt agent of Jackie Chan, after he had seen one of his videos on YouTube, in which he had performed stunts such as sideways to jump over to a propelled him to the car. He held the first request for a joke, but eventually settled persuaded to give up his career in favor of Turner career as a stuntman. Walters had a role as a stunt double or stunt performer in the movies: Hellboy - The Golden Army, Ninja Assassin, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, The Eagle of the Ninth Legion, I Am Number Four, Flash, Colombiana Captain America - The First Avenger. In Kick-Ass, he contributed both as a stunt double as well as an assistant for the coordination of struggles. Also in fight scenes he is in the films of Sherlock Holmes - A Game of Shadows involved and 47 Ronin. In 2010, he won the Taurus Award in the category Best fight scene in the movie Ninja Assassin.

Walters also operates Parkour and Freerunning where he uses his gymnasts and stunt skills. On YouTube he is one of the most -watched FreeRunner, his videos have been viewed a total of more than 78 million times.

He currently operates in Derbyshire his own training hall and making films.
