The Dammastock is at an altitude of 3'630, 3 m, the highest peak in the Urner Alps in Switzerland. He is the highest mountain in the canton of Uri and the highest peak in central Switzerland.

It towers above the highest peak of the mountain winter the Rhone Glacier and the Göschener valley. Is he from the north very difficult to access ( climbing difficulty III -IV), as derived from the south, from the Rhone Glacier, Glacier slight slopes to the summit. Below the eastern flank of the Dammagletscher begins and extends as a wide snowfield to the east.

On the south ridge of the moss floor, east of Dammastock and Dammagletscher, situated at an altitude of 2,438 m, the Dammahütte.

In the spring, offers a long, well-worn ski tour from the Hotel Belvédère in, whereas in summer the beautiful, light and lonely exceeded the Trifthütte to the Furka pass.

The first ascent of Dammastocks was carried out on 28 July 1864 by Albert Hoffmann- Burkhardt and the two leaders Johann Fischer and Andreas von Weissenfluh.
