Dane Šijan ( Serbian Cyrillic Дане Шијан; born February 5, 1977 in Sabac, Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian handball goalkeeper. He is 1.95 m tall and weighs 120 kg.

Šijan who plays for Bjerringbro - Silkeborg and accrued for the Serbian national team, always plays as a goalkeeper.

Dane Šijan began with the handball game at the top local club Metaloplastika Sabac, where he made ​​his debut in the first Serbian league. He always was one of the top players of the Serbian League; But in 1997 he was injured in a car crash hard, was on sick leave eight months and thus lost his place. He then changed frequently in the Serbian League: 1998 Proleter Zrenjanin, 1999 Rudar Pljevlja, 2000 Eporsid. In the summer of 2014 he joined Mors -Thy Håndbold.

Šijan in spite of well-known competitors such as Dejan Peric and Arpad Šterbik been contested 56 matches for the men's national handball team of Serbia and the previous team of Serbia and Montenegro.
