Daniel Hechter

Daniel Hechter ( born July 30, 1938 in Paris ) is a French fashion designer.

Known to a wider public he was first in 1957, when Brigitte Bardot in the movie " Une Parisienne" was a building designed by his model. In 1962 he founded his own company, Daniel Hechter Paris and presented his first collection before. Later he moved on manufacturing from its fashionable designs collections for large groups of buyers. Daniel Hechter is counted among the pioneers of prêt -à -porter. In the 1970s he also produced ski and tennis clothing.

One of Daniel Hechters preferences belonged to football: He was one of the largest donors to the team of Paris Saint- Germain FC from 1974 to 1978 the club president, for which he personally designed a new dress. When the club was criticized because of slush funds, he resigned his office, the League soccer remained connected; between 1986 and 1989, he took a management task again, this time with Racing Strasbourg.

In 1997 he retired from the clothing store and now lives in Switzerland in Geneva. In 2000 he published his book Le Boss.

1998 acquired the Miltenberger Otto Aulbach GmbH, the brand Daniel Hechter.
