Daniel N'Gom Kome

Daniel Armand Ngom Kome ( born May 19, 1980 in Bangou ) is a Cameroonian football player. Because of his long career in Spanish football, he also has a Spanish passport.

Playing career

The first years

Daniel Kome went in 1999 continued from his Cameroonian home to seek his fortune in Spanish football. His first stop was the B- team of Atlético Madrid, which played at this time in the Segunda División. There he first drew attention to himself with 3 goals in 33 games. When the B-team, Atlético had relegated after the descent of the first team, Kome left the club to hire the league rivals Levante. He was not so lucky and so it was that he moved to CD Numancia a disastrous season for him with only seven inserts for top-flight relegation.

Achievers

After two years in which back Kome found in Numancia old strength, he managed to ascend the third year in the Premier League with his team. Instead, he went to Mitaufsteiger Getafe, where he hoped for more uses. In Getafe, he was able to show that the Cameroonian can compete in the Primera División also. After he had reached with his team a good place, he left this yet, as it was often only a substitute. In summer 2005 he moved Daniel Kome to ambitious second division club Ciudad de Murcia, which he failed fourth just outside the ascent.

The last years

After the missed rise Kome decided the offer of premiership football club RCD Mallorca to accept where Samuel Eto'o already came out with a native size. In the Hinserie he came but only on five missions, which led to a renewed change of club. He returned in the second Spanish League and indeed to Real Valladolid. There he was only used twice in the second half, but his club was promoted to the first division. However, both sides decided to further cooperation, which was finished in summer 2008. Kome moved to CD Tenerife.

Internationally

Daniel Kome is National player for Cameroon. Among other things, he took part in the 2000 Olympic Games, the World Cup 2002 and the African Cup of Nations 2004. His greatest achievement was winning the gold medal in Sydney just against his footballing home country of Spain in the final, which was decided after Elfmetschießen.
