Daniel Rudisha

Daniel Rudisha ( Daniel Rudisha Matasi; born August 11, 1945 in Kilgoris, Rift Valley Province ) is a former Kenyan sprinter who specialized in the 400 -meter run.

He won the silver medal in the 4 x 400 meters relay at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City. The Kenyan relay placed himself in the lineup Rudisha, Munyoro Nyamau, Naftali Bon and Charles Asati with 2:59,64 min after the United States and in the Federal Republic of Germany. Rudisha launched in Mexico City in the 400 -meter run, but already retired in the quarterfinal round.

Daniel Rudisha is 1,80 m tall and weighed 76 kg in his playing days. His son David Lekuta Rudisha is Olympic champion, world champion and world record holder in the 800 -meter run.
