Naftali Bon

Naftali Bon ( born October 9, 1945 in Kapsabet ) is a former Kenyan sprinter and middle-distance runner.

His most significant success was achieved by the 1.77 m wide and 61 -kg athlete in the 4 x 400 meters relay at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City. The Kenyan relay won in the lineup Daniel Rudisha, Munyoro Nyamau, Bon and Charles Asati with a time of 2:59,64 min the silver medal behind the United States and in the Federal Republic of Germany. Bon launched in Mexico City in the 400 -meter run, however, already retired from the quarter-finals.

On September 5, 1970 in London Bon was involved in the preparation of a world record. A Kenyan relay in the lineup Bon, Nyamau, Thomas and Robert Ouko Saisi ran the 4-by- 880 - yard - line in 7:11,6 min.

Naftali Bon's largest individual successes were his victories in the 800 -meter run at the East and Central Africa championships in 1969 and 1970.
