Daniel Welbat
Daniel Welbat ( born May 7, 1989 in Hamburg ) is a German blues rock musician, film composer and voice actor. He is also known under the pseudonym WellBad ( portmanteau of the drawing together engl. Well = Good Bad = Bad).
Life
Daniel Welbat is the son of film producer Douglas Welbat and actress Katja Bruges. WellBad learned after a few years of piano and guitar lessons, music theory self-taught. At age 16, he took on after successfully graduating with him composing songs at home even at 20 years old, he and his cousin Jonathan Lehmann, the indie label Blue Central Records. His models were Willie Dixon, The Black Keys, Eels and Tom Waits.
WellBad composed the soundtrack to the 2010 film produced Vater Morgana. The recordings were made in the harbor sound recording studio in Hamburg, together with the music producer Stephan Gade. He has worked in radio drama about music projects and acting to writing and directing short films. His debut album Beautiful Disaster appeared on November 11, 2011.
