Danièle Thompson
Danièle Thompson ( born January 3, 1942 in Monaco ) is a French screenwriter and film director.
Life
Danièle Thompson, daughter of actress Jacqueline Roman and actor, screenwriter and director Gérard Oury, already wrote mid-20s with her father the screenplay for the film Three fracture pilots in Paris, also known as The Last Temptation (La grande vadrouille, 1966). This was followed by a further 9 successful films together. Even with the writer-director Jean -Charles Tacchella she demonstrated her talent for comedy and optimistic letter proof; the common film Cousin, Cousine (1975 ) was nominated for an Oscar in 1977. My favorite subject, the family, like a red thread through her film work, whether in other comedies like La Boum - Die Fete (1980 ) or even demanding film dramas such as Patrice Chéreau Who Love Me Can Take the train (1996). At the International Film Festival of Cannes 1986 Thompson was the Jury President, Sydney Pollack, a member of the jury.
Her son Christopher Thompson (born 1966 ) is, how she did it with her father, since her directorial debut La bûche (1999) as a co -author on their side. 2007 was her film A Perfect Place one of 61 films, chosen by a committee in the pre-selection of nine films for Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy.
