Danish longball

Long Bold is a ball sport ( racquetball game ) from Denmark, similar to the German Rounders.

Long Bold is a sister game of round Bold. Bold stands for Ball, the first half of the name to running track. Long Bold has two Mallinien ( impact and Laufmal ), which run parallel to 60 feet away. Its length is arbitrary. Round Bold has a square field of 20 meters each side with 4 times at the corners that need to be surrounded. For round Bold there is a set of rules from the 1940s, where in paragraphs 2 to 7, reference is made (of 9 ) to the corresponding rules of long- Bold. As such, the rules are largely the same.

Long Bold has been operated before the First World War by a number of sports clubs still beside football and handball and later displaced by this. Notes on championships and an umbrella organization not found. One can only speculate about the current distribution of the game. After all of them sport partners listed on two different types of wood to beat: a lobe-shaped (as in baseball or softball) and a flat (as in cricket).

Outside Denmark, the game has found its way into countries where related games such as softball or rounders are already widespread: USA (New York State ) and the UK (schools).
