Danny Wuerffel

Danny Carl Wuerffel ( born May 27, 1974 in Pensacola, Florida ) is a former American football player at the position of quarterback.

Wuerffel played first at the University of Florida for the Florida Gators. He was awarded the Heisman Trophy and drafted in the fourth round by the New Orleans Saints in the National Football League ( NFL) 1997 1996.

Up to and including 1999 Wuerffel played for the Saints and moved in 2000 to the Green Bay Packers. In 2001, he played for the Chicago Bears and the Washington Redskins in 2002. After the 2002 season, he finished his career. In six years, NFL Wuerffel came in 25 games for use.

More success was Wuerffel in NFL Europe ( NFLE ), to which he had parked in the year 2000 and for the Rhein Fire of Dusseldorf played with the number 7. With his team, he won the World Bowl and was named Most Valuable Player (MVP).
