Danube Wings

Danube Wings was a Slovak airline based in Bratislava and based on the Bratislava airport.

History

Danube Wings was founded in 2008 by VIP WINGS and took successively scheduled and charter services on.

In January 2013, the removal of the seasonal served French domestic routes was announced. In October of the same year Danube Wings announced the immediate cancellation of their last remaining line connection from Bratislava to Kosice. It would henceforth only been performed charter flights. At the same time, however, was reported that the company had shut down their contact details.

In December 2013 were finally reported by the complete cessation.

Destinations

Since beginning of October 2013 Danube Wings offered only on charter flights. Previously, she served an alternating power between many European cities and holiday destinations. She flew for example from Bratislava to London, Brussels, Warsaw and Milan, as well as Split, Zadar and Rijeka in Croatia. Also domestic flights within Slovakia were offered. Mid-2012 took over Danube Wings also from the insolvent airline Wind Jet the line between Cologne and Rimini. Since July 27, 2012 it also operated the flight Cambridge Dole. In addition to Cambridge Danube Wings served from Dole also Girona, Nice and Bastia.
