Template: Infobox River / Obsolete

The Darebin Creek is a creek in the southern Australian state of Victoria. It flows through the northern suburbs of Melbourne, drains the Darebin Valley and one of the larger tributaries of the Yarra River. Tens of thousands of years he served the Wurundjeri, an aboriginal tribe of the Kulin, the Woiwurrung spoke as food and tool source.

The creek rises in the north of the urban area of Melbourne, north of Epping, flows approximately south and meets at Alphington on the Yarra River. It provides for long stretches the boundary between the local government areas of Darebin City and Banyule City dar. Previously the Darebin Creek dried up in the summer, but today the increased stormwater runoff to the increasingly urbanized banks provides a permanent water supply.

The stream runs through the Darebin Parklands and the skirt Beare Park, a large Naturresevat 1-2 km north- west of the mouth of the Yarra River. In the lower reaches leads the Darebin Creek Trail, a hiking trail along the banks.

Geography

The sources of the Darebin Creek lie in Wollert at South Morang and even up in Woodstock, where the water runs roughly south to Epping.
