Dario Šimić

Dario Simic [da ː ː riɔ ʃi mitɕ ] ( born November 12, 1975 in Zagreb ) is a former Croatian football player.

Association

Dario Simic began his career in 1992 at Dinamo Zagreb and Croatian was five times champions and Cup winners four times. In January 1999 he moved to Inter. After he had won there more than three years no title, he moved in summer 2002 to city rivals AC Milan. Under Carlo Ancelotti, he fought his way to a regular place in the right defense, and contributed to Milan's success in the UEFA Champions League in 2003.

National

For the Croatian national team Simic played 100 games and equalized on 13 June 2006 Robert Jarnis record. In 1998 he contributed to Croatia's success at the World Cup in France. Also in the 2002 World Cup and the 2006 World Cup, he belonged to the squad of the Croatian national team.
