Darko Bodul

Darko Bodul ( born January 11, 1989 in Sarajevo, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, SFR Yugoslavia) is an Austrian football player. His brother Dragan is also football player.

Career

Association

Bodul began his career at youth team in Austria. Finally Over the stations FortunaWien and First Vienna FC 1894 he came to the Netherlands for SC Heerenveen in 2004. After four years, the striker was transferred there in the youth academy of Ajax Amsterdam. In the winter of 2008/ 09 he was ordered by coach Marco van Basten in the first team of the club. Already on February 8, 2009, he came to his pro debut against Vitesse Arnhem. In April 2009 Bodul extended his contract by two years. From July 2011 to January 2013 was Bodul in Graz at SK Sturm Graz under contract. In the winter of 2013, he moved to Denmark to Odense BK

National

Bodul played with Croatian- Austrian dual nationality nine times as junior national team of Croatia. Later, however, he put back his Croatian citizenship.
