Darnell Martin ( born January 7, 1964 in Bronx, New York City, New York) is an American director and screenwriter.

Life

Darnell Martin was born in the Bronx. She attended Sarah Lawrence College and graduated from the New York University Film School. In 1992, she turned Suspect with her ​​first short film. In 1994, she was the first African-American woman who has directed and produced a film for a major studio. The romantic comedy Life Is Trouble arose for Columbia Pictures.
