Dashiin Byambasüren

Daschiin Bjambasüren (Mongolian Дашийн Бямбасүрэн; b. 1942 ) was the Prime Minister of Mongolia on 11 September 1990 to 21 July 1992.

Life

Bjambasüren was born in 1942 in Khentii Aimag in a Buryat family. He is Professor of Economics, and has directed the State Administration Academy before the turn.

As representatives of the then ruling as a state party Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party, he negotiated with the participants of the hunger strike on the Sükhbaatar Square in 1990. He belonged to the spirit of compromise members who supported the democratization.

After the turn, he was appointed the first prime minister of democratic Mongolia. A little later he made the Democrats Ganbold his deputy. During his tenure, were all citizens of Mongolia " privatization vouchers " issued, which could be used to acquire private property such as city plots or apartments.

After his reign, he worked as founder and chairman of the Party of Democratic Revival, which took in the Democratic Power Coalition in 1999 to the elections. In the same year he was awarded the " Peace Medal", along with Bat- Uul, Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj, Punsalmaagiin Otschirbat and Zorig. Bjambasüren is also President of the "Mongolian Development Foundation and Society ".
