Dave Chartier

Dave Chartier (* February 15, 1961 in St. Lazare, Manitoba ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who played during his playing career for the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League.

Career

Dave Chartier began his career as a hockey player with the Brandon Travellers in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, for which he was active from 1977 to 1978. Then, the attacker went to the Brandon Wheat Kings in the Western Hockey League. In the following three years succeeded Chartier to increase its yield point, respectively, and to achieve 64 goals and 60 assists for the Wheat Kings in a total of 69 games in the 1980/81 season. In the season 1978/79 he won with the team the Ed Chynoweth Cup, the championship of the WHL. Chartier was selected at the NHL Entry Draft in 1980 in the tenth round in a total of 191 position of the Winnipeg Jets.

He spent the following season with the Wheat Kings for the most part and also completed one game for the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League and for the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League. This was also his only use in the NHL, the following season was Chartier exclusively for the Tulsa Oilers in use and completed 77 games in which he scored 36 points. The following two years, the Canadian active for the Sherbrooke Jets in the American Hockey League and collected in 91 games a total of 46 points. After the end of the season 1983/84 Chartier finished his playing career at the age of 23 years.
