Dave Hickson

David "Dave" Hickson (* October 30, 1929 in Salford, † July 8, 2013 ) was an English footballer.

Career

In 1948 Hickson to his heart's club Everton. After only half a year at the " Toffees " he had to serve his military service and stayed fit in the military team. In 1951 he made ​​his debut for Everton. The strengths of center forward had his shot power, aerial ability and his athletic body. In 1955 he moved to Birmingham to Aston Villa for £ 17,500. After only twelve missions he went for two years to Huddersfield Town, from where he returned to Everton in 1957. After little success, he played from 1959 to 1961 when local rivals Liverpool and in 1961 he left his career at Cambridge City FC Bury and Tranmere Rovers bar.
