David Benioff

David Benioff ( born September 25, 1970 in New York City as David Friedman ) is an American novelist, screenwriter and film producer.

Life

David Benioff is the youngest of three children of Barbara Benioff and Stephen Friedman, a former board member of Goldman Sachs while still a youth, he attended his mother's surname. He attended the Collegiate School and studied at Dartmouth College. He then worked briefly at the age of 22 years as a bouncer before he was in Brooklyn English teacher at Poly Prep Country Day School. Subsequently, he studied creative writing at the University of California, Irvine and Trinity College in Dublin, where he received his Master of Fine Arts with a thesis on Samuel Beckett.

Since his studies Benioff wrote. Within eight years, he wrote three novels. The first he never sent it to publishers and for the second he received 34 rejections.
