David Caruso

David Stephen Caruso ( born January 7, 1956 in Forest Hills, Queens, New York City ) is an American actor.

Life

Caruso grew up as a child in Italian - Irish -born parents. He graduated from Archbishop Molloy High School in the Briarwood, Queens, New York.

Acting Career

One of his first film appearances was the role of Topper Daniels in An Officer and a Gentleman ( 1982). In the following decade, he was seen mainly in supporting roles. His breakthrough came in 1993 in the television series NYPD Blue. Just a year later left the series Caruso to pursue an ambitious film career. Apart from the lead roles in Jade and Kiss of Death (both 1995) were offered to him only a few attractive roles.

In the U.S. and in German-speaking Caruso 's Horatio Caine by 2012 as a lieutenant from the television series CSI, especially from 2002: Miami become known. In the series NYPD Blue, Michael Hayes - For Law and Justice, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: NY and CSI: Miami, he is voiced by Lutz Mackensy.

Personal

Caruso had been married three times and has three children.

His daughter Greta was born on 1 June 1984. She is currently studying at Yale University. His son, Antonio Marquez was born on 15 September 2005. On 16 October 2007 daughter Paloma was born. The mother is his former girlfriend Liza Marquez, from whom he separated in the meantime again.

Currently Caruso is co-owner of the furniture and clothing store " Steam on Sunset " in Miami, Florida.
