David Choby

David Raymond Choby ( born January 17, 1947 in Nashville ) is Bishop of Nashville.

Life

The Bishop of Nashville, Joseph Aloysius Durick, ordained him priest on 6 September 1974.

Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on 20 December 2005 as Bishop of Nashville. The Archbishop of Louisville, Thomas Cajetan Kelly OP, donated to him on 27 February of the next year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were James Daniel Low Geses, retired bishop of Nashville, and Edward Urban Kmiec, Bishop of Buffalo.
