David Connell (cinematographer)

David Connell (* in Melbourne, Victoria) is an Australian cinematographer.

Life

After David Connell was given as a 12- year-old his first Super -8 camera from his father, began his interest in film, so he already began as a 17 -year-old at a news station as a camera assistant and after only two years with The Solomons his first camera work handed in at a TV show. Before he autonomously in a feature film led for the first time the camera for the Australian director George Trumbull Miller with the adventure film The Aviator, he has worked for MGM in Yugoslavia in The Eiger. Since Connell mainly for television films such as Moby Dick, Cleopatra and Lady Musketeer - all worked for A, since 2008 he is the main responsible cameraman for the television series Leverage.

In 1985 he was awarded a CableACE Award. The Australian Cinematographers Society drafted him in 1999 and 2006 with the Award of Distinction.
