David Koechner

David Michael Koechner ( born August 24, 1962 in Tipton, Missouri ) is an American actor, comedian, writer and musician.

Biography

Koechner was born the son of Margaret Ann (nee Downey ) and Cecil Stephen Koechner. His Catholic family is German and Irish descent. Koechner studied Political Science at Benedictine College and the University of Missouri, and decided to pursue a career as a comedian and moved to Chicago. After studying at Chicago's ImprovOlympic, under the improvisation teacher Del Close, Koechner joined with The Second City comedy from 1994 in Chicago. In 1995 he joined a year on Saturday Night Live. From 1996 to 1997 he belonged to the occupation of the Late Night Show with Conan O'Brien. Then he took the first small film roles in the films Wag the Dog and Man on the Moon.
